Hello my dudes!

My names Cameron Gyselinck, from the Northwest YMCA in Tampa, Florida. I’ve grown up in Tampa most of my life, and I have spent almost all those years at the Y. I also spend a lot of time with photography, playing Xbox, and once converted a bus into a classroom. I attend Florida State University where I major communications! My hope is to become a travel journalist. Having grown up an FSU fan my whole life, I love going to the football games, playing intramural sports, and meeting new people!

When I was little my mom got a job at the Y, I spent most of my time there whether in camp or just hanging out. But Leaders’ Club changed my whole perspective on the Y. My favorite mountain memory was this past year, writing and performing our Winnie the Pooh morning devotion on Caring I never been more proud of my club. Leaders’ Club and BRLS have made such a profound impact on my character, confidence, and just on me as a person, for which I can never say thank you enough.

For all you first time Leaders’ School attendees, whether it’s the great conversation, the first-year curriculum, the traditions, or the view from Eureka Hall porch, there is so much to look forward to in 2019! I can’t wait to get to know all of you and please don’t ever hesitate to stop me for a chat! See you on the mountain!! Oh, and try the dog food.

With love,
Cameron Gyselinck
