Hello leaders! My name is Noah Franklin and I can not wait to serve you in 2022. I am from the A.E. Finley YMCA, in Raleigh, North Carolina. I am currently a sophomore at Appalachian State University, where I am studying both Elementary and History Education. Growing up, I competed in cross country and track and field, and with quite the competitive spirit, I am always open to a little 1 on 1 basketball, football or tennis.

What is your favorite BRLS story, memory, or experience?

It is quite impossible to label just one BRLS experience my favorite. However, participating in the 2019 tableaux performance will be a memory I won’t ever forget.

What is your favorite Leaders’ Club story, memory, or experience?

Without a doubt, the feeling of togetherness and club unity closing/magical circle exudes, is by far my favorite club experience.

What are you most looking forward to for BRLS this year?

I could not be more excited for the opportunity to connect with first years in Basic Leadership and to step out of our comfort zones in Feeling Great! Furthermore, 2022 is a historic year and presents an incredible opportunity to serve as the foundation for the school’s evolution.

If you could give your 1st year self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Blue Ridge “blues” are real! You’re only given seven days on the mountain to make a year’s worth of memories, live in the moment, and don’t be afraid to be your genuine self.

Tell us a fun fact about anything!!

As my wallet can tell you, I am a huge Cook Out fan and will glady debate its superiority as the top fast-food chain along the East Coast. Double burger tray, with cajun fries and a chicken quesadilla and of course a Cheerwine float for the win!
