Hello, Everyone! My name is Tanner Huckert, and I am from The Siskey YMCA. I joined the Leaders’ Club because of my older sister. When she joined she met a lot of new people, whom she was able to be herself around. She loved it! Then, she talked me into joining and it was one of the best choices of my life. Leaders’ Club has made me who I am and has given me opportunities like none other, like serving as Honor Leader. This will be my 6th year on the mountain, and I am indescribably excited to go back. Not only has this Club given me friends and experiences for a lifetime, but it has also taught me what I need to succeed in life. I’ve learned leadership, communication, and self-appreciation, all of which are things that no class in high school could have taught me. I owe so much to everyone that has been there for me and helped me through my time in Leaders’ Club.
I’ve lived in North Dakota, Montana, Washington, and North Carolina. I currently reside in Wesley Chapel, NC and will be attending Appalachian State University in January. In my free time, I love to be outside riding my bike, hiking, kayaking, playing disc golf (recently just started), as well as, woodworking, listening to most all kinds of music, and spending time with my family and friends. I am so blessed to have all of the opportunities given to me and thank God for bringing wonderful people into my life. I hope to share these opportunities and blessing with others. I can’t wait to see and get to know everyone back on the mountain! Thank you to all for allowing me to serve!
