A few years ago when we adjusted the Fitness Assessment to focus on meeting Leaders where they are and to encourage continued improvement year over year, it was a significant change. We were hopeful that this approach would encourage Leaders and Advisors to take a positive approach to healthier living and to strive to be their very best. Included in this you will see the results from the previous 2 years of results. This data shows that Leaders that are involved in local Leaders’ Club programs are showing significant improvement year over year. Male Leaders that attended BRLS in 2017 and in 2018 showed 11.7% improvement in crunches and 10.4% improvement push-ups. The Female Leaders in that same time frame showed 14.1% improvement in crunches and 8.5% improvement in push-ups. That is something to celebrate! What it shows is that the local clubs are working hard back home!
We know that a 2 year sampling may not show definitive life changes but the trend tells us that it is working and that the Fitness Assessment is on to something. The buy-in and work of the Leaders and Advisors is showing up in the results. This is all good news and we hope that we can all build on the momentum going forward.
As mentioned in January edition of the Express, Advisors will be receiving your clubs fitness results from 2018 with the new columns to add a mid-year update that will need to be sent back to both Chris.Knox@ymcacharlotte.
